African American Cultural Trail Launch
The African American Cultural Trail of Greenville-Pitt County was officially launched on Wednesday, October 27, during a ceremony at Sycamore Hill Gateway Plaza.

Beginning with an initial phase of a half dozen stops including the Sycamore Hill Gateway Plaza, the trail aims to celebrate the history and recognize the contributions African Americans have made to Greenville and Pitt County's growth and development.

Each stop on the trail features interpretive signage and a newly-developed smart phone app will allow visitors to learn about the lives, stories and history of early black educators, medical professionals, cultural leaders and residents.
