February 2, 2012 Puget Sound, plumose anemone.
Several giant plumose anemones (Metridium senile) found a perch on hard bottom material in central Puget Sound.
This filter feeding anemone is one of the many resident invertebrates that EPA's Puget Sound cleanup is working to better protect.
