Denver, Colorado. Loading fabricated steel ship parts, processed in Denver, for shipment to Mare Island Navy Yard, where the parts will be assembled into fighting escort vessels. The Denver plant was on the verge of shutting down last year when it suddenly decided to convince the U.S. Navy that parts could be built there even though located on the other side of Rockies. Sourced from the Library of Congress.
