Captain Rollo C. "Pop" Lawrence of the U.S. Army 9th Air Force, who has just finished 300 combat hours in the Middle East and North Africa. He is shown in the Snow White, a B-24 bomber which he piloted across the Atlantic and the only plane he ever used in a bombing mission.
